David Herrick lives in New York City, but gets his hands dirty on weekends in a small Hudson Valley vineyard.
A love of wine and thirst for a deeper wine experience led him to plant 50 vines in the spring of 2011. With his first harvest in the fall of 2013, he is now working his third vintage in the cellar.
He grows the Marquette varietal, a red wine grape that’s hardy enough to withstand a Northeast winter, but complex enough to produce very satisfying table wines.
